Exterior Transoms, Sidelites and Combination Windows

Standard Installation - Combo with French Doors

The picture below shows a combination unit where sidelites flank each side of a set of double doors. A single transom sits above each sidelite. A full width transom fits above the width of the full double door unit.

In this scenario we can build every aspect of the unit except the double doors. Customers can choose a double door unit on their own, coordinate the specifications with us, and we will fabricate the remaining units.

Standard Installation - Combination with Single Door

In this example, the combination unit features a single door flanked on each side with sidelite. Above the door and each sidelite is a transom. We can build all parts of this combination unit except for the door.

Below is a slight variant where a single transom is placed above both the single door and both sidelites.

STANDARD: Transom spanning with width of door and sidelites

In this last single door example, only sidelites flank the door with no transoms above.

STANDARD: Only sidelites flanking a single door for a unique look

Ganged Transoms

Ganged transoms involve abutting one or more transoms together. This can be accomplished by abutting two sashes in one jamb or placing multiple jammed transoms against one another.

GANGED: Pairs of ganged transoms create a unique look

Window Walls

Window walls are usually built as individual framed openings for multiple transoms in an arrangement.
